Launching First Acre Insurance
2024 marked the official launch of First Acre Insurance, a venture born out of a commitment to provide Canadian farmers with the innovative insurance solutions they deserve. Our aim was to address the unique challenges faced by farmers and offer tailored coverage options that truly meet their needs.
Unprecedented Coverage Options
One of our proudest achievements was introducing unprecedented coverage options specifically designed for Canadian farmers. This suite of options means that our clients can now protect hundreds of different types of assets, ensuring peace of mind in an industry where uncertainty is often the norm. And they can insure their personal, agriculture and commercial needs all on one single policy.
Digital Transformation for Brokers
In our mission to support our broker partners, we launched an end to end digital platform for brokers. This state-of-the-art system streamlines the insurance process, enabling brokers to serve their clients more efficiently and effectively with tools embedded to allow the farmer to visualize their property and get real time insurance to value information on their assets. With 95% of quotes being turned around in 24 hours or less, our platform exemplifies speed and reliability.
Team Growth and New Payment Options
Our team has nearly doubled in size, allowing us to extend even better support to our clients and partners. Alongside this growth, we introduced a new payment method, electronic funds transfer, to make transactions more convenient and secure for our customers.
Engaging with Our Clients
We believe in building strong relationships with our brokers and farmers. Over the past year, we spent two months touring across four provinces, engaging directly with our broker partners. These in person interactions were invaluable. In addition to that we held more than 28 comprehensive broker training sessions. Each session was an opportunity to dig deeper, learn, share knowledge, gather feedback, and strengthen our partnerships.
